Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-11-01
These terms cover your use of Verifactu by Abakira (“the app”), a Shopify app run by Abakira LLC (“we”, “us”). By installing the app you accept them. If you don’t, don’t install it.
1. What the app does
For each paid order of your store it builds a simplified invoice (F2), and for each refund a corrective invoice (R5), as Verifactu billing records: numbered without gaps, chained by fingerprint, with the tax QR code, following the specifications published by the Spanish tax agency (AEAT). Each buyer gets a receipt link showing that QR code. Orders the app cannot invoice correctly are listed in the app with the reason; they are never filed with a guess.
In the current version, records are not sent to the AEAT. They are checked by a simulation inside the app, and the app says so on its home page. Until real submission is available in the app, keep the invoicing system you use today for your legal obligations.
2. Plans and billing
There is a free plan and paid plans. Their prices, monthly record allowances and what each one includes are in the pricing section of the app’s page on the Shopify App Store, and in the plan section inside the app. Paid plans are billed by Shopify, through your Shopify invoice. We never see your card. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the app; Shopify applies the change as it describes in its own billing terms.
No plan ever stops the app from issuing an invoice. Going over your plan’s monthly allowance shows a notice, nothing more. When you move to a lower plan, nothing is deleted.
3. Your responsibilities
- The tax ID (NIF), legal name and invoice series you enter are printed on every invoice. You make sure they are correct before the first invoice: they cannot be changed afterwards, because the chain of records depends on them.
- Taxes are calculated by Shopify from your own tax settings. The app records what Shopify charged; it does not decide which VAT rate applies to your products.
- You review the orders the app lists as not invoiced and invoice them another way.
- You remain responsible for your own tax obligations, including keeping your invoices for as long as the law requires.
- You keep your Shopify account secure, and you don’t use the app for anything unlawful or try to disrupt it, other merchants, or Shopify.
4. Your data
What we collect, why, and how long we keep it is in the privacy policy. It is part of these terms. You remain the controller of your store’s data; we process it on your behalf.
5. Records cannot be edited
Billing records are append-only, as the law requires: once written, a record is never changed or deleted while the app is installed. A mistake is corrected by a new record (a corrective invoice, or a cancellation for an invoice issued by error), never by editing the old one.
6. Uninstalling
You can uninstall the app at any time from your Shopify admin. Download your records first (XML export in the app): 48 hours after you uninstall, Shopify asks us to delete everything we hold for your shop, billing records included, and we do.
7. No warranty, limited liability
The app is provided “as is”. We don’t promise it will be free of errors or always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as lost sales, lost data or penalties. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you are on the free plan. Nothing here limits a liability the law does not allow us to limit.
8. Suspension and termination
We can suspend or end your access if you seriously breach these terms and don’t fix it after we tell you, or if Shopify or the law requires it. You can stop at any time by uninstalling.
9. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, the date at the top changes. If you keep using the app after that, you accept the new version.
10. Governing law
These terms are an agreement between you and Abakira LLC. They are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute about them or about the app goes to the state or federal courts located in New Mexico, and you and we both accept their jurisdiction.
